The Fruitland Chamber of Commerce requested approval to hold Fruitland Family Fun Day on September 12, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at City Park and along SW 3rd Street. The free community event is expected to attract approximately 3,000 attendees and includes 80 to 120 vendors, food trucks, children’s activities, live music, entertainment, bounce houses, games, and contests. No alcoholic beverages will be served. The application requested closure of SW 3rd Street between Colorado Avenue and Minnesota Avenue during the event. City staff reported no concerns. Public Works offered assistance with traffic control and recommended extending the eastern closure to the SW 3rd Street and Pennsylvania Avenue intersection to improve traffic flow.
